"Hier liggen drie verpleegsters van het FFI die door de Duitsers werden gemarteld in het Château de Saulles omdat ze weigerden de maquis van Bussières te verraden - Gestorven voor Frankrijk - 12 september 1944 - Bid voor hen".
Op de avond van 11 september viel een groep Duitse soldaten het Château de Saulles (Haute-Marne) binnen, een dorp vlakbij Bussières-les-Belmont, en martelde en executeerde de drie verpleegsters van de EHBO die zich de dag ervoor bij het FFI hadden aangesloten.
