Het bestaan van een kerk in Labry gaat terug tot 1361, wanneer deze wordt vermeld in een tekst van het aartsbisdom Trier. Ze is genoemd naar de patroonheilige van de abdij van Gorze, Gorgon, die verantwoordelijk was voor het ontstaan van de parochie Labry.
De kerk werd herbouwd in 1492 en gerestaureerd in de 18e eeuw.
