Een linde van enkele honderden jaren oud waakt over de boerderij in het hart van het natuurpark van de Périgord Limousin. De gîte, die volledig onafhankelijk is, komt uit op een terras en een omheinde, schaduwrijke tuin. De dichtstbijzijnde buren zijn een steenuil, een torenvalk en een paar koeien die in de weilanden grazen. Een van de vele wandelpaden loopt vlak langs de gîte, zodat je Chalus en de omgeving kunt verkennen.
