De Neuntelstein ligt op 7 km van het bergresort Hohwald en culmineert op 971 meter hoogte. Het is een granietrots die ongeveer dertig meter boven de noordelijke bergketen van het Andlaudal uitsteekt. Het biedt een prachtig en weids uitzicht: het massief van de Mont Sainte Odile, de vlakte van de Elzas en bij helder weer het Zwarte Woud en de Alpen.
Om er te komen
Vanaf Le Hohwald neemt u de richting Champ du Feu en wanneer u bij het randpunt bij de Rotlach aankomt (startpunt van vele wandelingen) parkeert u rechts. Ga gedurende 20 minuten te voet verder op het pad met een rode schijf.
Niet erg praktisch in de winter onder de sneeuw. Vooral geschikt voor beginners
