De mas du Puech (heuvel in het Occitaans) ligt in Assas (Hérault) midden in een dennenbos op de hoogten tussen de zee en de Cevennen. De zeer rustige omgeving wordt alleen verstoord door het gezang van de krekels van juni tot september, maar maak je geen zorgen, ze slapen 's nachts. Vlakbij (5 mn lopen) het dorp met enkele lokale winkels zoals bakker, kruidenier, apotheek en de onvermijdelijke wijnkelders en wijnhuizen. De Place de la Comédie, het historische hart van Montpellier, ligt op slechts 11 km afstand.
