Description

Dit gebouw is een voormalige molen die bij de abdij van Saint Airy hoorde en dateert uit 1774. Het zou gebruikt zijn voor de productie van meel, wapens, in het bijzonder tweehandige zwaarden (zweihander) of om lakens te slaan. Het gebouw werd gekocht door de heer Couten, die Metz ontvluchtte na de annexatie van Elzas-Moezel, en het verbouwde tot kasteel. Het werd in 1951 verkocht aan de stad Verdun en in de afgelopen jaren gerestaureerd.
