De gîte ligt in het hart van het gehucht, in een middelgebergtelandschap waar kleine weggetjes zich een weg banen door weilanden en glooiende bossen. Het ligt op het zuiden en komt uit op een beschut terras en een omheind gazon dat niet over het hoofd wordt gezien. Dit is een geweldige streek om te wandelen, maar ook om te vissen en te zwemmen. Het grootste, Vassivière (1000 ha), ligt op 20 minuten rijden. Het Martineix strand aan het Saint Julien Le Petit meer ligt op 4 km afstand.
