De Meyrueis tempel die vandaag de dag te zien is, werd geopend in 1840. Het gebouw bestaat uit twee in elkaar grijpende achthoeken, waardoor een enorme ruimte ontstaat. De schoonheid zit hem in de lambrisering van het interieur, van de koepel tot de pilaren die het ondersteunen.
Daarnaast loopt er een houten galerij rond de hele omtrek van het gebouw, die dienst doet als vijfzijdige galerij. Twee monumentale trappen
leiden naar de galerijen en zijkamers. Het gebouw is bedekt met een gaasdak en heeft een kleine klokkentoren*, terwijl een monumentale trap
monumentale trap markeert de ingang van de tempel. De Meyrueis tempel wordt beschouwd als een van de belangrijkste in het departement
