The temple of Meyrueis visible today was commissioned in 1840. The building is composed of two interlocking octagons that provide a large space. Its beauty lies in its interior panelling, from the dome to the pillars that support it.
In addition, a wooden gallery runs around the entire perimeter of the building, serving as a five-sided grandstand. Two monumental staircases
serve the grandstands and annex rooms. The building with a lauze roof has a small bell tower* and a staircase*
monumental marks the entrance to the temple. The temple of Meyrueis considered as one of the most important of the department can
accommodate 700 people.
