In tegenstelling tot wat men zou denken, ontleent deze rots zijn naam niet aan de hertogen van Lotharingen, maar aan de oehoe, een roofvogel die sinds jaar en dag nestelt op deze prachtige granieten rots, 300 meter boven de vallei van Bouchot. Ligging: dit door de regionale milieudienst van Lotharingen geklasseerde natuurgebied ligt ten noordoosten van Rochesson, op ongeveer 2 km van de klokkentoren, op een beboste uitloper, tussen de valleien van Bouchot en Ménaurupt. Het is te bereiken via een bewegwijzerd pad vanuit het centrum van Rochesson. Geologische curiositeit: een zeer opmerkelijke 15 meter brede eurietader loopt verticaal door het witte graniet naar de top van de rots. regionaal Directoraat Milieu Lorraine
