Het Théâtre des 13 vents is een Nationaal Dramatisch Centrum, d.w.z. een groot openbaar theater in de regio.
De missie van het Théâtre des 13 vents CDN Montpellier is het produceren en coproduceren, creëren en distribueren van voorstellingen en het ontvangen van regionale, nationale en internationale artiesten. Elke maand biedt het een programma van voorstellingen, ontmoetingen en acties die de langdurige aanwezigheid en de band tussen de werken en het publiek bevorderen. Met zijn project "Itinérance" reist het ook door de regio. "La Fabrique", een infrastructuur van werkplaatsen, bevordert onderzoek, creatie en artistieke opleiding. De coregisseurs Nathalie Garraud (regisseur) en Olivier Saccomano (auteur) hebben ervoor gekozen om permanent samen te werken met andere kunstenaars en onderzoekers: "La Troupe Associée" en het "Ensemble Associé".
