Op 10 km van Brive ligt Château de Castel Novel, dat dateert uit de 13e en 15e eeuw. Het is een prachtig hotel-restaurantcomplex omringd door 17 hectare park. De schrijfster Colette was de kasteelvrouwe aan het begin van de 20e eeuw. Het nieuwe team van Castel Novel laat je proeven van het kasteelleven, in een chique en vriendelijke sfeer.Naast de 27 kamers die historisch gezien in het kasteel te vinden zijn, biedt Hôtel du Novel ook 10 kamers in de Cottage, op een steenworp afstand van het kasteel.
