De kerk werd in de 11e eeuw gebouwd door benedictijner monniken, die de kerk in de 16e eeuw verlieten. Daarna namen jezuïeten bezit van de kerk totdat ze werden verdreven door Lodewijk XVI. Ze werd verkocht tijdens de Revolutie, gerestaureerd en teruggegeven aan de parochie. Gedeeltelijk verwoest tijdens de oorlogen, werd het gerestaureerd in de jaren 1990.
