Het Château de Campet is een adellijke residentie die vanaf 1640 is herbouwd op basis van een tijdens de godsdienstoorlogen afgebrande vesting.
In de 19e eeuw nam de Landes-architect Augustin Arthaud deel aan de modernisering van het landgoed, dat zijn huidige uiterlijk kreeg. Het zuidelijke deel werd vernietigd, de oude Franse tuinen werden vervangen door Engelse tuinen en er werden bijna 3.000 bomen en struiken geplant.
Het werd bij besluit van 22 december 1987 op de monumentenlijst geplaatst.
