Een opmerkelijk hydro-elektrisch erfgoed!
De stuwdam van Vassivière op de rivier de Maulde voorziet de ondergrondse waterkrachtcentrale van Mazet in Peyrat-le-Château van water. Deze site produceert niet alleen elektriciteit voor 40.000 mensen per jaar (het equivalent van de stad Brive), maar draagt ook bij aan het behoud van het lage waterpeil van de Vienne en is dankzij het meer een belangrijke toeristische trekpleister in het hart van de Limousin.
