Archiefonderzoek heeft geen sporen opgeleverd van de bouwdatum. De architecturale kenmerken, vooral de noordwestelijke gevel, suggereren echter dat het in de 16e eeuw gebouwd kan zijn.
Het landhuis Frères Tailleurs, vernoemd naar de gemeenschap van religieuze broeders die kleermakers waren, wordt gekenmerkt door zijn beperkte grondoppervlak en grote gevels. Het staat sinds 1976 op de monumentenlijst.
Dit kasteel is een van de drie die boven het dorp liggen.
