Le Bastion is het “oorspronkelijke” museum, klein en charmant. Aan de overkant van de haven ligt sinds 2011 het grotere Musée Jean Cocteau – Collection Séverin Wunderman.
In de jaren ’50 werd het voormalige fort gerestaureerd op initiatief van de Franse kunstenaar Jean Cocteau. In 1966, het jaar van zijn dood, opende hier het eerste Jean Cocteau Museum, met door hemzelf ingerichte zalen. Niet alleen de kunstwerken binnen, maar ook de mozaïekvloer, deuren en zelfs de toiletten werden door Cocteau zelf ontworpen. Het is dus eerder een totaalkunstwerk dan een gewone tentoonstelling.
Er zijn regelmatig tijdelijke expo’s rond Cocteau’s werk of dat van tijdgenoten.
