Tijdens het Festival de Musique de Menton dat hij stichtte, wordt die telkens versierd met bloemen: een jaarlijkse eerbetoon aan zijn nalatenschap.
De trap vormt de originele locatie waar Böröcz op 12 augustus 1949 geïnspireerd werd – hij hoorde een Bach-partita op de radio op het parvis en besloot daar ter plekke een festival te starten. De ingemetselde plaquette herinnert dus niet alleen hem, maar markeert ook de geboorteplek van het festival.
