Een wat troosteloos deel van de compostelaroute Via Gallia Belgica, eerder een pijnlijke pelgrimstocht dan een aangenaam wandelparcours. Maar misschien is dat wel wat de rechtgeaarde pelgrim zoekt. De tocht is 23 km, amper 14% is onverhard. Voor de rest is er behoorlijk wat verbouwing en kan Maubeuge nauwelijks bekoren. Zeker geen aanrader voor de echte stapper.
