'Probably the most attractive village in Kent' noemt Linton zichzelf en dat is waarlijk maar een klein beetje overdreven. Vanop het terras van de Bull Inn kijk je uit over een weids landschap van heuvels, fruitgaarden en een slingerende rivier: dit is de mytische Weald. Hier kan je deze 6,5 km lange wandeling best beginnen. Eerst trek je over de Greensand heuvelkam, zodat je het weidse panorama nog een hele tijd kan bewonderen. Dan daal je af in de vallei, langs de fruitkwekerijen en de Kentse boerderijen met het typische asttorentje. Tussen de fruitbomen door klim je weer langzaam naar het kerkje van Linton toe, dat zich steeds mooier laat zien. Op het terras van de Bull Inn wacht je een heerlijk Engels bier.
