Glencoe Lochan is een stuk bos dat net ten noorden van het dorp Glencoe in de Schotse Hooglanden ligt. Het werd in de jaren 1890 geplant door Donald Alexander Smith, 1ste Baron Strathcona en Mount Royal, met bomen die waren verplaatst vanuit de Pacific Northwest van Canada.
Na de aankoop van het Glencoe Estate in 1895, verhuisden Smith en zijn vrouw, Isabella Sophia Hardisty, van Canada naar Schotland. Kort na hun aankomst kreeg Isabella steeds meer heimwee naar haar voorouderlijke landen in Canada. In een poging om de depressie van zijn vrouw te verlichten, liet Smith dit bos zorgvuldig planten en gaf het aan haar als een privé toevluchtsoord.
