Turpin's Cave is een gebied in Epping Forest in Essex dat wordt beschouwd als een schuilplaats van de struikrover Dick Turpin.
Dick Turpin kende Epping Forest goed en organiseerde vele criminele activiteiten vanuit een basis tussen de Loughton Road en Kings Oak Road, die in de legende bekend kwam te staan als 'Turpins grot'. Na een incident in mei 1737 vluchtte Turpin naar Epping Forest, waar hij zich schuilhield. Hij werd gezien door Thomas Morris, een bediende van een van de boswachters, vlakbij wat nu de pub 'The Robin Hood' is. Morris, gewapend met pistolen, probeerde Turpin op 4 mei te arresteren; Turpin schoot hem echter dood met een karabijn. De moord werd gemeld in The Gentleman's Magazine. Het terrein in het grootste deel van Epping Forest bestaat uit Bagshot Beds, zand- en grindlagen die niet stevig genoeg zijn om bewoonbare grotten te vormen zoals de afgebeelde.
