De Widnes–Runcorn Transporter Bridge overspande de rivier de Mersey en het Manchester Ship Canal, die de steden Runcorn en Widnes met elkaar verbond. Voltooid in 1905, was het de eerste transporterbrug van Groot-Brittannië en de grootste van zijn soort die ooit ter wereld is gebouwd. Het bleef in gebruik tot 22 juli 1961, toen het werd vervangen door een doorlopende boogbrug, nu bekend als de Silver Jubilee Bridge. De transporterbrug werd daarna afgebroken.
