Fairfield Shipbuilders, vaak afgekort als Fairfields, is een scheepswerf gevestigd in Govan, Glasgow, aan de rivier de Clyde in Schotland. De werf werd vooral bekend door de bouw van talrijke oorlogsschepen.
De werf werd in 1860 in Govan opgericht door Charles Randolph en John Elder als Randolph, Elder & Co. Het voorgangerbedrijf Randolph & Elliot produceerde machines in het Tradeston District. Het eerste schip, de Colon, werd in 1861 zonder bouwnummer gemaakt, het tweede, de MacGregor Laird, kreeg bouwnummer 14. Al in 1868 verhuisde men naar een nieuw terrein bij Fairfield Farm en werd in 1870 John Elder and Company. John Elder overleed op 17 september 1869 op slechts 45-jarige leeftijd.
