Hun merkenportfolio bestaat uit verzorgings- en huishoudproducten, met anno 2017 merken zoals Strepsils, Durex, Lysol, Dettol, Clearasil, Calgon, Mead Jonhnson, Cillit Bang, Veet, Nurofen, Gaviscon, Mucinex, Scholl, Harpic, Bang, Mortein, Bedrijf, Vanish, Woolite en Airwick, die het overgrote deel van de omzet bevatten. Daarnaast heeft het onder meer een ketchup en Franse mosterd divisie.
Van oorsprong was het een conglomeraat in schoonmaakmiddelen, levensmiddelen en personal care. Het bedrijf heeft aandelen genoteerd op de London Stock Exchange. Het aandeel is onderdeel van de referentiekorf van de Financial Times Stock Exchange Index FTSE 100. De multinational ontstond in 1999 bij de fusie van het Britse Reckitt & Colman plc met het Nederlande Benckiser NV.
