Wareham Castle en de stadsverdedigingen, lokaal bekend als de Muren, waren fortificaties in de stad Wareham in Dorset, Engeland.
De locatie van de stad Wareham was waarschijnlijk bewoond in de pre-Romeinse periode en er werd een Romeinse nederzetting gesticht, gebruikmakend van de strategische ligging langs de rivier Frome. Het werd in de late 6e eeuw door de Saksen veroverd en tegen het einde van de 9e eeuw was het uitgegroeid tot een van de belangrijkste Anglo-Saksische burhs in Dorset. De burhs waren verdedigingsplaatsen die werden gecreëerd door koning Alfred de Grote en zijn zoon Edward de Oudere om de grenzen van het koninkrijk Wessex te verdedigen, hoewel het werk in Wareham mogelijk voortbouwde op bestaande verdedigingen.
