Rydal Mount is een huis bij Rydal nabij Ambleside in het Lake District. De dichter William Wordsworth woonde daar van 1813 tot aan zijn dood in 1850.
Wordsworth werd in 1770 geboren in Cockermouth in Cumberland en kende het Lake District sinds zijn kindertijd. Vanwege zijn studie aan de Universiteit van Cambridge verhuisde hij in 1787 naar Cambridge. Na zijn studie reisde hij twaalf jaar lang door Engeland en Europa. Daarna woonde hij acht jaar in Dove Cottage bij Grasmere. Door zijn groeiende gezin en veel bezoekers was hij echter gedwongen om te verhuizen. Na een korte tijd in Allan Bank in Grasmere verhuisden de Wordsworths in 1813 naar Rydal Mount.
