Yorkshire is een traditioneel graafschap in het noorden van Engeland en met een oppervlakte van 15 000 km2 met afstand het grootste traditionele graafschap van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Vanwege zijn grootte zijn in de loop der tijd steeds meer functies overgeheveld naar lagere besturen. Ondanks talrijke territoriale wijzigingen in de afgelopen eeuwen behield Yorkshire zijn betekenis als geografische en culturele eenheid.
