Bowness-on-Windermere is een Noord-Engelse stad gelegen op ongeveer 130 kilometer ten noorden van Manchester. De stad ligt in het nationaal park "The Lake District" en vormt dus een ideale uitvalsbasis om dit gebied te bezoeken. Naast zoveel natuurschoon heeft het dorpje en zijn nabije omgeving uiteraard ook heel wat te bieden met bezienswaardigheden als de St Martin's Church, de World of Beatrix Potter en het nabijgelegen Windermere meer die er voor zullen zorgen dat een uitstapje naar deze prachtlocatie niet snel vergeten zal worden!
