Poti is een stad met 41.465 inwoners in de provincie Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti in het westen van Georgië. Poti is gelegen aan de oostkust van de Zwarte Zee en dient daarom als een van de drie Georgische zeehavens. Dicht bij de stad mondt de belangrijkste rivier van Westelijk Georgië de rivier Rioni uit in de Zwarte Zee.
Poti werd opgericht als een Griekse kolonie in de 7de eeuw voor Chr. en werd Phasis genoemd. De eerste spoorlijn in Georgië werd geconstrueerd tussen Poti en Shorapani in 1871.
