Dit is de hoofdingang van de Commercial Cable Station Company die haar activiteiten startte in 1884. Wereldwijde telegrafie werden van hier ontvangen en verzonden. Op zijn hoogtepunt was Waterville één van de grootste kabelstations in de wereld. In Iveragh Terrace en later West View Terrace werden huizen gebouwd voor het personeel van de Commercial Cable Company en hun familie.
