Het herbergt het Forte di Sant'Andrea, een groot fort dat in de 16e eeuw is gebouwd om Venetië te verdedigen. Sant'Andrea vormt een verlenging van het eiland Vignole, waarvan het gescheiden is door een smalle kanaal, richting de Porto di Lido-San Nicolò op het Lido, tussen het eiland van Venetië en het eiland Sant'Erasmo.
