Het WTA-tennistoernooi van Palermo van 2012 vond plaats van 9 tot en met 15 juli 2012 in de Italiaanse stad Palermo. Het was de 25e editie van het toernooi. Er werd gespeeld op een gravel-ondergrond.
Enkelspel – Titelverdedigster Anabel Medina Garrigues was als vierde geplaatst – ze kwam niet voorbij de eerste ronde. Het eerste reekshoofd Sara Errani uit Italië won het toernooi door in de finale met de als achtste geplaatste Tsjechische Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová af te rekenen. De wedstrijd werd beslist in twee sets: 6-1 en 6-3. Errani schreef daarmee voor de tweede keer in haar carrière het toernooi van Palermo op haar naam. Het was haar zesde WTA-titel. De Nederlandse Kiki Bertens struikelde in de eerste ronde.
