Toch heeft de Graafschap meer te bieden dan deze riante optrekjes en hun weldadige tuinen en parkbossen. Het gebied kent een rijke afwisseling van bossen op dekzandruggen, en kleinschalig boerenland in dekzandvlaktes en beekdalen.
