Voorst ) is een dorp in, en de naamgever van, de gemeente Voorst in de provincie Gelderland. Het gemeentehuis van de gemeente Voorst staat in Twello. Het dorp heeft 2.780 inwoners . In het dorp staat de korenmolen De Zwaan.Het dorp heeft een lange geschiedenis. De voormalige Nederlands hervormde kerk uit de 14e eeuw staat op een plaats die wordt genoemd in een oorkonde uit 893 onder de goederen van Prüm in de Eifel. De Prümsche bezittingen werden in 1609 door de Staten van Gelderland aan Graaf Ernst Casimir van Nassau-Dietz verkocht.
