Wist je dat Utrecht Flo implementeerde: een verkeerssysteem voor fietsen. De kern van het systeem is de lange, blauwe kiosk langs een fietspad. Met behulp van sensoren wordt de snelheid van fietsers gemeten. En dan volgt een symbolisch advies. Als fietsers moeten versnellen om het groen licht te halen dan krijgen ze een haas te zien. Anders een schildpad. "Onze missie is om het fietsen nog leuker te maken, en om die reden dat we gezocht naar een speelse manier om fietsers te helpen", zegt Jan-Paul de Beer, het hoofd van Springlab, een in Utrecht gevestigde innovatie bedrijf dat Flo ontworpen.
