Voor de aanplant van de eerste wijnplanten moest nog wel een en ander gebeuren. In grote lijnen bestond dit uit:
• Het bemonsteren van de grond en op basis van dit grondonderzoek de bodem geschikt maken voor de teelt van wijndruiven;
• De grond bewerken om te zogen voor de juiste structuur;
• Omheining van het perceel ter voorkoming van wildschade;
• Het planten van druivenplanten voor de productie van rode en witte wijn;
• De aanschaf van de nodige machines, gereedschappen en materialen.
