Ureterp is een dorp in de Nederlandse provincie Friesland. In 2021 had het 4.860 inwoners. Na Gorredijk is het hiermee het tweede dorp van de gemeente Opsterland. Onder het dorp vallen ook de buurtschappen Selmien en Ureterp aan de Vaart. Er wonen in Ureterp veel forensen, een gevolg van de gunstige ligging ten opzichte van Drachten en het knooppunt Drachten van de A7 van Heerenveen naar Groningen en de N381 van Drachten naar Emmen.
