Overschild is een dorp in de gemeente Midden-Groningen in de Nederlandse provincie Groningen. De plaats telt 495 inwoners en het postcodegebied 605 inwoners .Het huidige dorp is ontstaan in de tweede helft van de 19e eeuw. Voor die tijd bestond de buurtschap uit enkele verspreide boerderijen. De belangrijkste gebouwen van het dorp zijn de voormalige hervormde kerk en gereformeerde kerk en korenmolen Windlust.
