Wedde is een dorp in de provincie Groningen in de gemeente Westerwolde. Het dorp telt 1.315 inwoners . Het dorp ligt aan de Westerwoldse Aa. Deze is tot het dorp bevaarbaar voor pleziervaart. Beide oevers van de Aa liggen in het Natuurnetwerk Nederland. Hier liggen diverse natuurgebieden. Zo liggen ten noorden van de Hoornderweg de Hoorndermeeden. Deze zijn evenals gebieden ten zuiden van deze weg, zoals de Geselberg, in handen van Staatsbosbeheer. Rond het dorp zijn ook nogessen te herkennen.
