Voorburg is een stad en voormalige gemeente in de Nederlandse provincie Zuid-Holland, die op 1 januari 2002 fuseerde met Leidschendam tot de huidige gemeente Leidschendam-Voorburg. Voorburg is gelegen aan het Rijn-Schiekanaal en grenst aan Den Haag, Rijswijk en aan Leidschendam. Hoewel Voorburg geheel is vastgegroeid aan Den Haag heeft het een oude dorpskern en een eigen geschiedenis. Voorburg is geheel verstedelijkt. Binnen de grotere gemeente Leidschendam-Voorburg zijn nog wel landelijke gebieden.
