Fort C in Muiden is beter bekend onder de naam Muizenfort, een verwijzing naar de kleur van de uniformjasjes van de soldaten die hier in de Tweede Wereldoorlog gelegerd waren. In het fort vind je een kleine museale opstelling die je meer vertelt over de geschiedenis van Muiden en een (onbemand) VVV-informatiepunt waar je terecht kunt voor folders en routes in Muiden en omgeving.
Het museum bestaat uit een binnenexpositie in het Muizenfort en een loopgravencircuit ter plaatse van de frontwallen met diverse voorzieningen dat het fort uit 1874 met een originele Nederlandse (Piramide) groepsschuilplaats uit de mobilisatieperiode 1939-1940, een waarnemingspost en een voormalige G-(mitrailleur-) kazemat met elkaar verbindt. De Stichting Herstelling heeft het loopgravencircuit aangelegd en een aanvang gemaakt met het uitgraven van de groepsschuilplaats.
