Fort C in Muiden ist besser bekannt unter dem Namen Muizenfort, eine Anspielung auf die Farbe der Uniformjacken der Soldaten, die hier im Zweiten Weltkrieg stationiert waren. Im Fort findest du eine kleine museale Ausstellung, die dir mehr über die Geschichte von Muiden erzählt, sowie einen (unbesetzten) VVV-Informationspunkt, an dem du Broschüren und Routen in Muiden und Umgebung erhalten kannst.
Das Museum besteht aus einer Innenausstellung im Muizenfort und einem Grabenlauf, der vor Ort mit verschiedenen Einrichtungen die Frontmauern verbindet und das Fort aus dem Jahr 1874 mit einem originalen niederländischen (Pyramiden-)Gruppenschutzraum aus der Mobilisationszeit 1939-1940, einem Beobachtungspunkt und einem ehemaligen G-(Maschinengewehr-)Kasemat verbindet. Die Stiftung Herstellung hat den Grabenlauf angelegt und mit dem Ausgraben des Gruppenschutzraums begonnen.
