Venlo ) is de grootste gemeente in Noord-Limburg en na Maastricht, qua inwonertal de tweede van de Nederlandse provincie Limburg. De gemeente omvat meerdere dorpen, zoals in het westen aan de overkant van de rivier de Maas Blerick en in het zuiden Tegelen en Belfeld en in het noorden Arcen, Lomm en Velden. De gemeente heeft in totaal 102.176 inwoners per 31 januari 2022 . Qua inwonertal staat Venlo in Limburg op de tweede, in Nederland op de 31e plaats.
