Landgoed De Moeren
Landgoed De Moeren is gelegen in de gemeente Zundert, midden in de natuur. De geschiedenis van het landgoed gaat terug tot 1544, toen René de Chalon, heer van Breda, de grond van het landgoed uitgaf voor turfwinning. Het 250 hectare grote landgoed is sinds deze tijd nog immer in handen van dezelfde familie en kent een rijke historie. Vincent van Gogh heeft hier veel gewandeld en maakte zijn eerste tekeningen op het landgoed.
Cultuurhistorie
Aan de Rucphenseweg 37 bevindt zich het landhuis, dat in 1817 gebouwd is in empirestijl. Het huis heeft een achtkante dakruiter met een koepeldakje en is gelegen in een rechthoekige tuin met zichtassen. De tuin wordt omgeven door een singel in Engelse landschapsstijl. Nabij het hoofdgebouw bevinden zich een koetshuis en een houten schuur.
