Estate De Moeren
Landgoed De Moeren is located in the municipality of Zundert, in the middle of nature. The history of the estate dates back to 1544, when René de Chalon, lord of Breda, spent the land of the estate for peat extraction. The 250-hectare estate has been in the hands of the same family since this time and has a rich history. Vincent van Gogh walked here a lot and made his first drawings on the estate.
Cultural history
At Rucphenseweg 37 is the country house, which was built in 1817 in empire style. The house has an octagonal roof with a domed roof and is located in a rectangular garden with view axes. The garden is surrounded by a canal in English landscape style. Near the main building there is a coach house and a wooden barn.
