Het Werk aan de Groeneweg is aangelegd tussen 1914 en 1918, ter verdediging van het fort bij Honswijk. De infanteriestelling bestaat uit een dubbele loopgraaf met aarden wallen en 55 groepsschuilplaatsen. De meeste zijn posten voor één schutter. De wat grotere piramidevormige bunkers, gebouwd 1939-1940, zijn groepsschuilplaatsen.
