In de weilanden links is een bunker te zien, een van de tientallen bunkers langs de Vecht. Zij zijn hier gebouwd als groepsschuilplaats voor soldaten omdat dit het inundatiegebied van de Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie was. De weilanden konden door het openzetten van de sluizen met Vechtwater onder water gezet worden, zodat de vijand het gebied niet verder in kon trekken.
