Van april tot en met oktober vaart er in Midden-Delfland de veerpont "De Kwakel" tussen de Kwakelweg (Maasland) en de Broekpolder in Vlaardingen.
De veerpont wordt beheerd door het Recreatieschap Midden-Delfland en wordt uitgevoerd door vrijwilligers. De veerpont vormt een mooie en leuke schakel tussen de polder- en natuurgebieden van Midden-Delfland (Duifpolder en Commandeurspolder) en het bosrijke gebied van Vlaardingen (Broekpolder).
