Bij de opkomst van het toerisme aan het eind van de 19e eeuw verrezen vele theehuizen en kiosken. Het waren aanvankelijk veelal houten gebouwtjes waar thee, melk en frisdrank te koop was. Het theehuis 't Bluk staat al meer dan honderd jaar op deze plek. Vlakbij dit theehuis begon de nummering van de ANWB- paddenstoelen. Naast het fietspad, die van het restaurant La Place naar 't Bluk loopt, is voor de tunnel de eerste paddenstoel herplaatst met een informatiepaneel.
